Wilderness International

GOOSE Gourmet supports the Wilderness International Foundation with donations and thus actively protects one of the last intact primeval forests with a size of 601.11sqm, from deforestation, which is also the habitat for the Cinnamon Elf Hummingbirds.

All the Christmas fir trees that we use for decorative purposes are planted in the Dreieich forest. We actively participate in the reforestation. To be exact, we have planted 107 trees so far.

100% of our coffee grounds from catering and internal events (and that's a lot!) is used as fertiliser for the roses at Schloss Philippseich in Dreieich. The local bee colonies are happy about the lush roses and we are happy about the delicious honey from the region!

Overproduction: hardly ever occurs with us because we work with modern merchandise management systems and automated purchasing processes.

But if we do buy too much, we recycle the food appropriately:

  • We pickle fruit and vegetables and use them every now and then as a highlight for certaindishes.
  • Vegetable peelings, stalks, leaves are further processed as gravy base
  • Baked goods are made into croutons or breadcrumbs

Part of our vehicle fleet is electric. More than half of our team cycles to work every day. We have been sourcing green electricity from renewable sources and green gas since 2014.

We don't talk about diversity, we live diversity! Actually, we don't want to make the term a topic because it is the most normal thing in the world for us to work in a diverse team. That's why we don't talk about diversity, we live diversity! Our team consists of people from 8 nations and we speak 11 foreign languages! Origin, skin colour, sexual orientation... has never played a role with us and never will!


That should also be the most normal thing in the world! But if anyone wants to know exactly: our women's quota is 70%!
